Coxing at UOEBCCoxes at Exeter are no different to our high-performance rowers, they are relied upon daily by our athletes and coaches and are key members within the club. Coxes are involved at every water session at The Nicholas Bull Boathouse and have the same access to the erg, s&c and cardio programme as every other rower.
The novice coxing programme gives you the opportunity to develop alongside more experienced coxes and train and compete as a member of one of the largest mixed sports at the university in one of the top university rowing programmes. Coxes with previous experience will be integrated straight into the senior squad and have the chance to cox our top boats at HORR, WEHORR, BUCS, Henley Women's Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta. |

Our coxing programme is a fast track to competing at the highest level of university sport for both novices and seniors. In 2023 we had 12 coxed boats racing at BUCS Regatta with 5 reaching A/B semifinals and 2 winning BUCS medals. 5 coxes were selected for crews representing the club at Henley Women's and Henley Royal Regattas. |
