BUCS REGATTA 2022 RESULTS4/5/2022
|
On Saturday the Novice Women’s 8+ won a bronze in the beginner 8s category. A huge result for these girls and a testament to the effort of our student coaches. The Novice Men’s 4+ also put in a solid row to win the B final. Narrowly missing out on a bronze medal, the Men’s 1st 8 finished 4th in Inter 8s. It was great to see the men being competitive having been in the B final at the last two regattas.
Day 2 of the regatta brought with it more impressive results. The LW women’s 4- did well to make it through their rep and finish 5th in the A final. The mens’s 1st Int4+ won bronze and were 0.2 off silver in a stacked field. This was the first BUCS regatta medal for the senior men in four years. Other notable results from the day were the novice men’s 8 who won the B final, and the novice women’s 4+ who recorded the 2nd fastest time in their category. The senior women also impressed, winning the C final of Inter 8s. On the Monday EUBC won their final medal of the regatta. The girls from the LW 4- moved into the LW4x and put in some fantastic performances to come away with silver. This was an important result which further cements the club’s reputation as a top location for lightweight women’s rowing. Overall, the 2022 regatta was a success for the club. Top performances from all squads demonstrate how hard our athletes have worked this season despite the huge number of setbacks over the last three years. The club remains in a strong position as its performances continue to improve. WEHORR 2022 RESULTS
Great results all round for our three crews at Women’s Head this weekend.
All the crews raced tenaciously in the strong winds, finishing 40th, 118th and 201st. It was great to race this event for the first time since 2018, we now look forward to gearing up for multi lane racing in the summer. |

MOVEMBER BOAT CLUB RUN
6/11/2021
Exeter University Boat Club are proud to be supporting and raising awareness for men’s health this month. Whilst both our men’s squads are continuing to grow some questionable moustaches we enlisted the help of our women’s squad and some trusty fake moustaches and had 60 of our members run 6k for the 60 men we lose each hour to suicide.
In 2020 the UK raised £19.1 million to help prevent our dads, brothers and friends dying prematurely and the University of Exeter raised over £200,000. This year we aim to raise £250,000 and as part of that EUBC would appreciate any donation no matter the size through our team page: https://uk.movember.com/team |
